Julia Capomaggi is a co-founder of Prefix-re Architects, a research and design firm that has received numerous awards including the first prize in Europan 9, a European competition in Zagreb, Croatia, an honorable mention for the urban equipment in "Ycoor" Crans-Montana, Switzerland, and a honorable mention for the Sport Park competition in Aparda, Pontevedra, Spain. Prefix-re has developed projects of architecture, landscape architecture, interior design, and urban design in Spain, Switzerland, and Argentina. Their work has been published in Aquitectura Viva and Pasajes de Arquitectura in Spain, ARQ. in Chile, and Covjek i Prostor in Croatia, among others.
In 2004 the Lineal Park proposal in Murcia (Capomaggi, Castro, Mustazo) was recognized with the young architects award (AJAC- Barcelona architectural league COAC).
Capomaggi has collaborated with architectural firms based in Rosario and Barcelona and has co-edited the book Spain Pavilion, World Expo Shanghai 2010 by EMBT.
Before UIC she also taught at the BAC Boston Architectural College in the US and at the School of Architecture, Planning, and Design at the National University of Rosario, Argentina.
