Chris E. Liakakos, AIA, ACHA, is a lifelong Chicagoan and alumnus of the UIC Architecture and Design Program. He has practiced as a healthcare planner and architect all of his career and has held leadership roles in the offices of Jensen & Halstead, SGE, HLM and OWP/P.

Chris was Principal-in-Charge for the campus master plan and the Duchossois Center for Advanced Medicine at the University of Chicago Hospitals. Over the last two decades, Chris has been the director and planner on numerous master plans and projects at Froedtert Hospital and the Medical College of Wisconsin, the most recent being the Clinical Cancer Center. Since the mid 1980s, Chris has provided ongoing master planning and design services to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where most recently, he led the planning efforts for OWP/P on the new Prentice Women's Hospital in downtown Chicago. Chris is currently working on master plans for Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center, Froedtert Hospital and the University of Michigan Health System.
