Teddy Slowik currently works for Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture in Chicago, where he participates in the design and development of intelligent, energy-efficient and sustainable architecture on an international scale. While at Re-D (Research + Design), Slowik participated in the development of the M-City exhibition design project at the Kunsthaus Graz, which won first place in the 2005 Far Eastern International Digital Architectural Design (FEIDAD) competition.
Slowik graduated with a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Pennsylvania in May of 2007. While at Penn, he was awarded second place in the Schenck-Woodman Design Competition for his entry entitled, "Transforming Energy: From Destruction to Production." Additionally, Slowik's work with Professor Cecil Balmond was chosen to represent the University of Pennsylvania in the Arch Schools:R(each)ing Out exhibition at the Center for Architecture gallery in Manhattan, New York. Slowik also provided research assistance and photography work for Professor Mauro Guillen's book, The Taylorized Beauty of the Mechanical.
