Admissions
Y ARCH is open to current undergraduates, incoming graduate students, college graduates now working in other fields, and a limited number of 2008 high school graduates. Unfortunately, Y ARCH cannot accept international applicants at this time.
Extended Deadline: Applicants must postmark their materials by the new May 9 deadline. Space will be limited; please apply early.
Application Requirements
1. Y ARCH 2008 Application Form (available in PDF format here)
2. Non-refundable $30 Application Fee, paid in a check or money order to the University of Illinois. If accepted, this fee will be deducted from tuition.
3. Statement of Intent: 300 words or less describing your particular interest in architecture and how this program fits your goals
4. Examples of Creative Interests: Three (3) reproductions on three 8.5x11 pages. Appropriate submissions might include sketches or drawings, sculpture, models, collages, and other designed objects (from t-shirts to furniture to the web). While we welcome a diversity of media and approaches, this work should communicate strength in visualization, critical thinkng, and intellectual curiosity.
